Our faculty and corporate members join across these diverse technologies to innovate collaborative projects across application areas and societal needs and concerns. Within these technologies, the Center’s mission is to develop technologies with transformative impact on people and the planet.

Through focus on its five principal areas of study: Field Robotics, Domestic Robotics, Medical Robotics, the Future of Work, and Education/ Culture, SRC aims to anticipate and deliver solutions to society’s coming needs as robot systems enter more closely into our daily lives.

The Center’s efforts will be pursued in each of these areas through Flagship Projects involving researchers with multi-disciplinary expertise, working together with industry to develop applications addressing real-world challenges.

The cross-disciplinary research in these areas will contribute a shared core of robotic science and technology providing a foundation to accelerate robotic development.
