Tactile e-Skin Sensing

DigiSkin is a highly stretchable, ultra-conformable glove with an array of individually addressable pressure-sensing pixels. Offering pixel densities from 132 to 2496, DigiSkin provides exceptional coverage and sensitivity, and a broad dynamic range, capturing pressures from 0~560 kPa. With DigiSkin, users can visualize where and how much pressure they apply during everyday tasks and on objects of varying shapes and softness. A learning-based algorithm further interprets these pressure maps to identify the objects being grasped.
