EVENT OVERVIEW
You are cordially invited (and encouraged) to attend the Stanford Robotics Center Launch Symposium and Tours on November 2, 2024. We anticipate a wonderful day of talks, tours and demonstrations that will mark a milestone in Stanford Robotics history. We hope you will participate - it’s an event you won’t want to miss.
The Stanford Robotics Center brings together cross-disciplinary world-class researchers and industrial affiliates to explore new ways robotics can impact how we live and work, improve healthcare and quality of life, and give people power to do things they could never do before. Its unique collaborative facility supports large-scale innovative projects for transformative impact on people and the planet.
The SRC Launch will bring together the whole Stanford Robotics community, along with roboticists from across Silicon Valley and beyond. This all-day symposium will feature tours of the SRC, live demonstrations of cutting-edge robotics, and presentations and discussions by Stanford faculty and keynote speakers.
Topics include:
• Robots in the home, at work, and in the field
• The role of universities in robotics for innovation and impact
• Human-robot interaction
• Medical and assistive robotics
• Telerobotics, avatars and digital twins
