Gary Guthart's definition of a leader is simple: someone who sees the problem as it is; who can help the team envision a future that is better; and who can build an organization that executes in a sustainable way, in a healthy culture, to achieve that vision.

For a decade and a half, Guthart was that leader at Intuitive. Fourteen years after joining as employee number 11, he took the helm, steering the company's rise into a global leader in robotic-assisted surgery. But Guthart does not describe Intuitive as a robotics organization: he sees their purpose as designing technology-enabled ecosystems that deliver life-enhancing care.

On November 17, join us to hear more about how an applied mathematician evolved into a health technology leader relentlessly focused on solving big problems in healthcare to return patients to full health much quicker than is currently possible.
